Revised – Public Hearing to Amend Future Land Use Map for Property on South Side of Deerfield Road/CTH II

A proposed amendment to the Town of Washington Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map will be considered at a public hearing before the Town of Washington Plan Commission on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. and the Town of Washington Board on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. Both meetings will be held at the Town Municipal Building, 5750 Old Town Hall Road, Eau Claire.
The proposed amendment is as follows (see map on other side of this letter):
Amend future land use map designation for approx. 4.68 acres from Rural Residential (RR) to Rural Commercial (RC) to allow rezoning of the property to C-3 Highway Business District to allow for commercial development on the property. Property located on the south side of Deerfield Rd./County Hwy. II approximately one-quarter mile east of State Highway 93
You are invited to attend the Plan Commission and Town Board public hearings, or review and comment on the proposed comprehensive plan amendment. Note that the Plan Commission is a recommending body to the Town Board, who has the authority to approve or deny the request.
If approved, the property owner intends to rezone the property to allow the development of commercial uses on the property.
